It Doesn't have to Hurt Anymore
Large breasts and back pain tend to go hand in hand. I
know for myself having a small frame, my body is just not
naturally equipped to carry around such a heavy load. For
years I spent most days in pain, I almost didn't even notice
anymore. I would get a massage and they would ask how I
was able to stand up right with all the knots in my back.
Sitting at my desk for work, extended walks, carrying groceries
all left my back feeling as if I had been stomped on. More
than once a day I would daydream about the day I would get
my breast reduction and I could lead a "normal" life. Then
one day it hit me "What can I do now to make my life better?"
I hit the web and met with some personal trainers and I
am here to tell you that my life has truly improved. Now
when I am talking about my chest with someone and they ask
the standard "Doesn't your back kill you?" I can answer
with a "not really" instead a long speech on how horrible
it is to have large breasts. Since I am certain I was not
alone in my constant pain I wanted to share some of the
quick tips that worked for me.
Posture Posture Posture!!
I can not stress that enough. I had never really noticed
my posture before and was shocked on how horrible it was.
It makes sense for us women with large chests to have bad
posture. Mine started at a pretty young age, if you walk
with excellent posture with back straight shoulders pulled
back you feel as if you are flaunting those big ole breasts
that you probably felt self conscience about already. Plus
lets face it ladies those puppies are heavy so leaning forward
with the weight only seems natural. However, trust me when
I say that if you just improve your posture you will notice
a big improvement. It may take awhile for it to become natural,
at first I felt awkward and self conscience, that shy high
school girl came back and I contemplated saying forget.
So I did some recruiting and I asked friends and family
to help me out, I made them aware of the situation so anytime
they noticed my old ways they would kindly point it out.
Took a couple months but I am now standing tall, feeling
less pain and get this looking thinner. That's right just
by standing up straight you will automatically look a few
pounds little. All that not enough to convince you?? Lets
look at it this way, if you constantly slouch you are at
risk of becoming a hunch back, so unless you are looking
for a career in a bell tower pull those shoulders back and
hold that head up high and be proud of the beauty that is
you.
Take a Break
Even with your new and improved posture sitting or standing
for long periods of time puts unnecessary strain on you
joints and back and taking a quick stretch break every 1
½ - 2 hours. Try the following stretches through out the
day and not only your back thank you but the rest of your
body will be grateful as well.
